group of celebrating young people

Founded in 1987, People of Color Against AIDS Network is one of the nation’s first HIV/AIDS organizations centering communities of color.

Today, almost 40 years later, People of Color Against AIDS Network (POCAAN) has grown to house 13 programs addressing how substance misuse, incarceration, homelessness, sexually transmitted diseases, racism, sexism, transphobia, and homophobia contribute to community marginalization and health disparities. Join the POCAAN team to learn about POCAAN’s past, present, and future.
