Winston Wächter Fine Art Seattle is pleased to announce our second solo exhibition with Portland-based artist Mia Farrington.

Opening Reception: Sat, Nov 9  from 4-6pm
Exhibition Run: Oct 30-Dec 23, 2024

In PROCESSION, Farrington delves into the dynamic interaction and kinetic essence of color within the realm of minimalist and hard-edged art, drawing inspiration from color visionaries like Josef Albers and Anne Truitt. Emphasizing organic forms over geometric shapes, the exhibition explores how colors move and interact in abstract art. Each artwork is a meticulous study of color relationships, where hues pulsate and resonate with one another, creating rhythmic patterns and harmonies within fluid, organic shapes. Through deliberate layering and juxtaposition, Farrington aims to evoke a sense of motion and transformation, inviting viewers to experience color not as static entities but as vibrant, living elements in constant dialogue with one another. PROCESSION offers a journey through chromatic realms where the minimalist aesthetic intertwines seamlessly with the dynamic potential of color, showcasing the boundless possibilities within abstract expressionism.
