Please join us as we welcome Chef Brendan McGill of the Hitchcock Restaurant Group for a special evening as we celebrate our students, build community and enjoy an incredible meal.

Guest Chef Night pairs premier local chefs with FareStart students to create a three-course meal served by volunteer community members. All revenue and donations from Guest Chef Night support FareStart’s job training and placement programs.

Chef Brendan hails from Alaska, where his love of cooking, fishing, and farming were cultivated from an early age. What started there has grown into a collection of highly acclaimed restaurants and food ventures located in Seattle and on nearby Bainbridge Island.

The Hitchcock Restaurant Group is comprised of Seabird, McGill’s love letter to seafood, which was named one of the “Best New Restaurants of the Year” in 2022 and 2023 by both Esquire and Bon Appetit magazines; Bruciato, a Neapolitan pizza joint on Bainbridge Island; Café Hitchcock in downtown Seattle and Bainbridge Island; the Oyster Cellar in Seattle’s historic Exchange Building; the Hitchcock Bakeshop which specializes in pastries and naturally-leavened bread; Junbug Kombucha on Bainbridge Island; and Shady Acres, home to a four acre garden and orchard and a passel of Mangalitsa hogs.

McGill was voted the “People’s Best New Chef” by Food & Wine in 2013 and has been honored with a James Beard nomination for “Best Chef NW.” He has also enjoyed awards from Eater and StarChefs.

Tickets will be released Feb 20 at 12pm.
